Strays To Stays

 Misty's family contacted us and they were able to take Misty back. Misty had been a great company to Charlie and all of us, but it may have been for the best. This way, Misty can receive the undivided love and attention that she deserves. 

  Charlie made me realize that cats aren't just cute and fluffy animals, but also intelligent creatures with fun interests and a fun personality.  Charlie has not just been the apple of my eye, but of the whole community. He loves drives, he loves to socialize, and he enjoys shopping. He brushes his teeth regularly and had a lion cut to deal with the summer heat.  Here are a few pictures of Charlie and his favourite things and hobbies: Charlie loves cars, and needs his mandatory cat ride every single day. He often sits on one of the cars and waits until someone drives him around. He is a purrfect citizen and makes sure to wear his seatbelt. Charlie loves being in his garden more than anything. He chews on grass, rolls in it, sniffs the rose bushes, and sometimes tries to sneak out of the house. This is Charlie's dollhouse that he is very territorial about, and he only shares it with Misty.   Misty is a female Persian punch-face cat whose owner cannot keep her anymore. She reached out and contacted us via Facebook and needed a loving home for Misty. Misty is a very calm and gentle cat, and quickly adjusted in a week.  She also befriended Charlie and participated with him in all his daily activities.  Here are Misty's pictures from her first week at Strays to Stays:   bird viewing afternoon naps

  Needles is a sweet rescue cat I found today. It was quite hurt, and it seems about 4-5 months old. The cat was living in terrible conditions and it took a lot of convincing my mother to bring him home.  Needles is working hard to get Charlie to like him, but Charlie is not very fond of Needles and is giving him a hard time. 

 Charlie's Birthday Charlie is finally 1 year old now! He is slightly older than 1, but I count May 24th as his birthday. This is because it was the wonderful day on which Charlie became a part of our family, and found his forever home.  These cakes were not originally for Charlie's birthday, but the timing was excellent and we had a chance to celebrate his first birthday. He loves cake and he loves chicken, so he had a great feast on his lucky day. He also adores being on this dining table. It might as well be his favorite spot, next to the bird-viewing window only. 

August 1st: I went to the grocery store today, and outside were two very affectionate kittens who immediately started playing with me. I bought them milk, and as i was about to leave, one of the shopkeepers suggested i should take them home, as they no longer had a mother. That idea seemed great, and i asked my mother if i could take them home. she allowed me to keep them for a while, but if i could find a good owner and family for them, i should give them away. Both kittens are very friendly and they did not hesitate in befriending Charlie. Charlie also welcomed them well. However, he drank all the milk i poured for them (shown in the picture above) and so i had to feed them again in separate rooms.  For now, I have decided to name the cats Bella and Bruno. i hope it takes a while for them to find a new family because i love them already.  August 4th:  The cats have luckily and unluckily found a new family. My driver offered to take these kittens home with them. although...
